Shelf life varies on our products but they are best when they are used within 12-18 months.
Yes, most of our products use natural preservatives like essential oils. There are a few products that contain an unnatural mild preservative to extend their shelf life, but without compromising the quality of the product.
Do not store them in shower, because the combination of heat and steam will cause products to go rancid quicker. It is best to keep products in a cool dry place especially conditioners and treatments.
No. Our products contain No Petroleum, No Mineral Oil, No Alcohol, No Paraben, No Sulfate, and No Silicones.
Our products don’t contain any drying alcohols.
Yes. Our products are made for all hair types and ethnicities. Our products can be used in women, men and children’s hair. Works best for hair types that are lacking moisture like curly/coily hair. You can now shop by Hair Type to see what products we recommend for your hair type.
Yes. Since Alikay Naturals products are made with natural ingredients, they are safe for use on children. Although, please note our shampoos are not tear free and our Essential 17 Growth Oil is not recommended for children ages 5 and younger.

Yes. Our products work for locs. In fact, we have a specially formulated Naturally Unique Loc Oil to help keep your locs soft and shiny, as well as our Totally Twisted Loc Butter for retwisting.
No, we do not test any products on animals.
Yes. You can use our products while your hair is in extensions. In fact, it’s important to keep hair moisturized and scalp clean while you have extensions and protective styles in. Our products are great for helping with that care routine.
The Avocado Cream Moisture Repairing Hair Mask is great for repairing really damaged hair that is dry, has heat damage or color damage. It also works to repair and moisturize color treated hair. This should be used every other day if needed.
The Honey and Sage Deep Conditioner is going to assist with shine and bring moisture back into the hair as well, but not for those with hair that is severely damaged. This can be used once and week.

Both of our moisturizers are amazing. They contain the same ingredients but they’re just made for different hair types. Our Shea Yogurt Hair Moisturizer is best for coarser hair such as type 4 hair. Our Moisture Rich Hair Parfait is best for softer, lighter textured hair such as type 3 hair. Also, with our moisturizers, a little goes a long way so use a small amount.
No, because none of our Shampoos and Cleansers contain sulfates.
You can use it as often as you please. We suggest using it every other night and massaging it into scalp. Alternate rows as you apply it to your scalp.
Unlike a lot of other growth oils, we researched the best natural ingredients that are proven to promote hair growth and stimulate the scalp. We then used ALL 17 of those ingredients to create this amazing oil, which actually works. It’s very concentrated so you get the best results.
It’s the process of sealing the moisture into your hair. Best time is after washing hair while hair is still wet. Step 1: Liquid (L) : Spray on Lemongrass Leave In Conditioner Step 2: Oil (O): Apply a small amount of Shine Crave Glosser Step 3: Cream (C): Rub in a small amount of your moisturizer Shea Yogurt or Parfait. Style hair as usual.
Crème Brulee Curling Delight or Dulce Hydrating Curl Lotion are great for defining natural curls. The Wake Me Up Curl Refresher works great to refresh them daily.
The Aloe Berry Styling Gel works best on hair that’s slightly damp, with either water or Lemongrass Leave In Conditioner. After Lemongrass Leave In Conditioner is applied, add this product to section of hair to be sleeked. It’s great for styling hair and slicking hair back in puffs.
First, spray Lemongrass Leave In Conditioner on hair to soften the hair. Then apply a small amount of the Shea Yogurt or Parfait to hair in sections. Proceed to twist or braid hair. You’ll be amazed at the definition. Visit Alikay TV for video tutorials!
